She strongly believes that one investment in a girl can increase economic growth, thereby reducing the cycle of poverty in future generations.  She often exclaims, “If you want a stronger community, invest in a girl.”

Geneva West is a native of Pineview, GA, who moved to Macon, Georgia after graduating college.  She holds a BA in Mass Communications from Fort Valley State University and an MBA in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management. After spending almost 10 years in the wireless technology industry, she decided to continue her life-long passion of helping others.
Inspired by her beautiful daughters (Amarie and Jada), Geneva West founded Real IMPACT Center, Inc. in June 2013.  As Founder and Executive Director, of Real IMPACT Inc., her initial focus was to provide an innovative way for young girls to learn and develop character and life skills.  However, Ms. West soon discovered the need for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs for females and minorities in the Middle Georgia area, which helped steer the focus of Real IMPACT toward STEM-learning.
She is a visionary, breaking barriers daily by closing the gender gap to STEM education for girls, which has become her life’s work.  She is an advocate for increasing the number of girls from Middle Georgia and surrounding counties who wish to pursue STEM education and careers.
